Dr. Gregg R. Fader, DMD
Dr. Gregg Fader earned his bachelor of arts degree at Lafayette College. He attended the University of Pennsylvania school of Dental Medicine, receiving his doctorate in 1987. After a year of private practice and teaching at NYU College of Dentistry, he did his orthodontic residency at NYU, receiving his cerficate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics in 1990.
Upon graduation, Dr. Fader practiced orthodontics in Queens, and in 1995, took over the Lower East Side Orthodontics location. He also returned as a faculty member to NYU to teach preclinical orthodontics. He has since left the Queens office, but has opened an office in Westchester near his home.
Dr. Fader is an active member of several professional associations. They include the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, Northeast Society of Orthodontics, World Federation of Orthodontics, and the Ninth District Dental Society. In addition to his professional life, Dr. Fader lives in Westchester with his wife and two children. He enjoys all sports, and is an avid Met and Giant Fan.
Dr. Whitney Mostafiz, D.M.D., M.S.
Whitney Mostafiz, D.M.D., M.S., is a board-certified orthodontist. A New York native, Dr. Whitney studied human biology and visual art at Brown University and completed dental school at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. During her training, Dr. Whitney traveled to Sydney, Australia twice to perform and publish award-winning research on obstructive sleep apnea and oral appliance therapy. Her passion for research and education on sleep-related airway disorders has led to presentations at multiple conferences as well as on the radio. Dr. Whitney completed her orthodontic residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where her research on 3D airway imaging and oral appliance therapy in sleep apnea patients led to a masters degree.
Dr. Whitney is also an active leader in the dental community. She was chosen to participate in the 2015 American Association of Orthodontists Emerging Leaders Conference. She was also selected for the Charley Schulz Competition and presented her research in May 2015. She is currently president of the New York chapter of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity. She is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, New York County Dental Society, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Whitney keeps an active and healthy lifestyle that she encourages with her patients. She loves to practice yoga and run, and even finished the Chicago Marathon in 2013. She enjoys drawing, painting, photography, and graphic design. Dr. Whitney looks forward to helping you smile on both the inside and the outside.
